Tahoe Vistana Inn

For the first time since our wedding in November 2009, my husband and I had a great weekend getaway ( NO KIDS), September 10th-12th 2011. We stayed at the Tahoe Vistana Inn in Tahoe Vista, CA.

A very rustic setting with lots history. The Squaw Valley Olympic Games of 1960 created a dramatic increase in development within the basin. Cabins were built in great numbers to meet the needs of thousands of travelers. The Tahoe Vistana Inn was a result of this growth.  The cabins exteriors have had to remain as authentic a possible to maintain history.

When we got to our room I was surprised that the entry door was a sliding glass door (most of the units are like this).

We walked into a large room with a King size bed (quite comfy), table and chairs, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bedroom had a set of bunk beds and there was a bathroom with a stall shower. The carpet was very plush and everything was quite tidy. Our sliding glass door opened to a community courtyard area with a BBQ and some tables and chairs. There is a nice swimming pool (82*)that is open through summer and a spa located near the office.

They have a small conference room with Wi-Fi.

The Tahoe Vistana Inn has one cabin that sleeps up to 8 (#108), one that sleeps 6 (#109) they both have several rooms and full kitchens, very convenient for families to save on food costs. My husband and I are looking to book a cabin for the family soon.
